Blowout Contingency Plans (BCP) or Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
A BCP or ERP is one of the most important documents in well control pre-planning. This document contains a brief description of the activities that are needed to prepare customers for well control events. CWC will review the customer’s BCP for its' applicability to well control events. If the plan is not deemed adequate for well control problems, CWC will assist the customer in developing a specific plan for well control emergencies for a variety of well control events. The focus of the plan will be to designate the team and response actions that are required to successfully handle blowout events.
